Haha, slower version of birthday song led by my dad. Look at Yixuan, super adorable la! Sorry for the abrupt ending, I accidentally pressed the shutter button, heh.
This is actually the first time we're celebrating her birthday, and she's really delighted.
Minus 1 star cause New Moon is focusing on Jacob Black and the Quileute tribe. I don't like. I prefer to see more scenes of the Cullens or the Volturi.
Now, I'm so looking forward to Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, especially the latter.
I'm also curious to see what's in the 20 minutes of deleted material.
P/S: I fell sick again. I think my body temperature can cook an egg lor! :(
Love the pork cutlet and Japanese curry, yummy! The Japanese tea managed to soothe my throat.
Walked around in Ion before heading to Chinatown for KOI! Yay, satisfied my craving for their milk tea.
I've learnt my lesson, that is, not to talk too much when having sore throat. Lost my voice last night, and I'm still voiceless now.
Other than all the chit-chatting with Pam, I also went back to my previous workplace (OCBC Centre branch) yesterday to find Sally for lunch. I stayed there for an hour plus and talked to almost all the managers and officers. All of them asked me to join them back as part-timer, well, let's see what the HR will say first.
P/S: Catching New Moon with Huiting later. Hope my headache will be gone by this late noon. Shall take a nap after watching the second last episode of Minami Shineyo.
The more you expect, the more disappointment you’ll get. The less you expect, the happier you'll be.
Have you noticed that I've changed the background image and fonts, better?
Anyway Yishi is a happy girl today.
Reason #1: My dearest sis bought me McD's breakfast!
I told her I was craving for Hotcakes yesterday and this morning while I was still sleeping like a pig, she went out to buy. Very sweet of her right?! :)
Reason #2: I met a kind soul at Rive (PS)!
I was ordering birthday cake for my stepmum and this nice customer offered her membership card. 10% off! :)
Reason #3: iPhone 3G!
No, we aren't rich! Papa has this $500 voucher so he upgraded his plan to get the 3GS one. Hence he gave me his old phone:
It's a brand new set though, heh. Not very nice to blog it out, can ask me personally if you wanna know why.
Love my dad la! But hate him at the same time, cause he likes to ask me for my opinions yet he already has HIS answers.
Papa: "Girl ah, so you want BB or iPhone?" Me: "Don't know leh. Think BB ba. I like BB Bold!" Papa: "BB not good la, iPhone is better!" *continues to rave about his iPhone*
Never mind, another one, after giving me his gadget:
Papa: "So you want 3G or 3GS?" Me: "3GS la. Better leh, it's faster and there's video recording." Papa: "You need faster speed for what, you also don't need to check email often. And you don't need video recording, I need, cause can video Yixuan." *shows me some of Yixuan's clips*
He wins lor! Actually I'm contented with the 3G one, just wanna whine about his feihua-ness. :)
"Seize the day, trusting as little as possible in the future."
I just let out a big yawn. Tired!
I'm waiting for time to pass so that I can head down to CWP to fetch my sis. And thus, I'm here.
Met up with Weiling today. It seems very long since we last met, but it's only 2 weeks.
We went to try this for lunch:
You can click the image to enlarge it for more details.
She tried the panfried chicken while I had the grilled salmon. And thanks to UOB, there's a 50% discount for desserts. But all the food we ordered tasted pretty normal, nothing special.
Shopped around. I'm really tempted to get the Chanel EDP! Either N°5 or Coco Mademoiselle. Both are each retailing at $200 for 100ml. Any idea how much DFS is selling?
I had tangyuan for dinner! And KOI again! It's addictive!
Thank you Darling for the early X'mas gift! Love you la! :)
I've put an end to "友達以上,戀人未滿". Enough said. Keeping everything to myself. This time, I'm really determined to move on.
Papa is super nice to fetch us to HarbourFront, where we took the ferry there.
FYI, there are a few ferries and ports: Batam Fast or Penguin go to Batam Centre, Wave Master goes to Harbour Bay. But all are of the same price, that is SGD48 for a 2-way ticket. And it's about an hour journey. Similar to Hong Kong-Macau.
This reminds us of the Taipei's Lovers Bridge.
Stepmum actually planned the trip for us and her brother drove us around. I'm really grateful but at the same time feel kinda bad.
Anyway if you're going there, just be extra careful, especially ladies. Their cabs not that safe as gang rape usually happens. Sigh!
We went to DC Mall and BCS (Batam City Square) before lunch.
Didn't enjoy shopping over there, nothing much and it's repetitive. DC Mall was a waste of time, but can get inexpensive underpants (1 buck each) at BCS. I also bought a black spaghetti for only SGD1.50, CHEAP CHEAP! We changed our SGD to RP over there too, cause my stepmum's brother knows the money changer so we had better rates.
$$$
Lunch-ed at Golden Prawn 933. Cheap and nice seafood!
Big and sweet coconut! Slurps!
Skin is crispy and meat is tender and juicy!
This seafood meal only costs us SGD17 each. A treat from us, somehow it makes us feel a little better.
Most of them ride.
One of their popular shopping malls: Nagoya Hill. But again, I find it quite boring. Most of the shops are selling those non-authentic stuffs, zzz.
On our way to find Yixuan:
Tadah! I really miss her a lot la!
Stayed at my stepmum's house for awhile before we went for our whole body massage!
We had the Indo & Traditional massage! So shiok la, especially when you hear the 'crack crack' sound.
It's only SGD11 for 1.5 hours. Tell me where to find this kind of cheap and good massage?! It seems like my body is craving for more, tsk.
Final destination:
To buy doughnuts and have A&W.
A&W is part of my childhood memories. Mummy used to bring me to the outlet at AMK very often when I was young.
Due to time constraint, we didn't step into Polo shop. Never mind, there's always a next time.
